January News

Happy New Year! Is it over yet? Ha.

What's new with S E Davis and Valkyrie Books?

First on my list of newsiness, I gotta brag that They Had Eyes of Silver received a B. R. A. G. medallion (indieBRAG). ♡ What does that mean exactly? Well, the reviewers felt THEOS worthy of distinction and I am honored. You can see it and other winners here: They Had Eyes of Silver - S E Davis - Paranormal, Romance Books (bragmedallion.com)

Second, I managed fantastically to not hit my target launch dates for books two and three of the Wulfin series. I in the midst of another edit on book two, They Had Eyes of Gold, and when it's complete, I'll pop it on Amazon. Keep your eyes open for the announcement (should be by month's end *fingers crossed*).

Third, the Kindle Vellas are doing well—all four of them! Hel's Hounds, Prey, Lost in Under, and They Had Eyes of Fire (saaay what? did Sarah release book three before book two is out?).

Fourth, I have soooo many stories to write and share. And I want to give you a sneak peek of every one, too! But, I won't. Not all at once.

Perhaps you can do me a favor and give me your thoughts on which one to work on next?

Envy The Monster (a realistic, dark fantasy involving the World Serpent, Jörmungandr)

Adam McCloed, a man driven to study the secrets hidden in the sea, spends weeks researching the murky depths of the oceanic trenches, unaware of the terror that lurks beneath the surface. Legends of sea serpents aside, he saw evidence of things moving in the shadows on the camera feeds. But all were creatures known, or soon to be known and classified.

Everything has a scientific explanation.

Except for the woman who appears floating in the water the morning after an earthquake, unconscious and cloaked by a blanket of snake-like scales. After she awakes with no memory of who she is, Adam calls her Eve.

As Eve grows comfortable on the ship with Adam, her uniqueness stands out like a beacon. Adam cannot logically explain her unusual habits, nor do he and the other researchers comprehend the other bits of snakeskin that continue to appear in the water next to the ship.

When the CEO of the company funding Adam's research arrives for an update, Eve exhibits signs of extreme terror and begs Adam to hide her.

With no safe harbor in sight, Adam finds himself in a difficult situation: either risk his career to protect Eve from a menacingly powerful figure or allow her to be taken into custody.

In the end, will science fully explain who, or what, Eve truly is? And more importantly, will it change Adam's growing affection for her?

—Or—

Rita in Sayulita (a light-hearted novel from a dog's perspective of life in a Mexican surfing town)

Rita, the Weimaraner, has recently moved to Sayulita, Mexico. Being new to this area, she is quite taken aback by the drastic change of climate, from the snow and cold of her old home to the warmer, beachy climate with its abundance of loose, ownerless dogs.

Rudy is a local canine, a giant with an equally big-heart. He looks after the perritos and keeps the neighborhood peaceful. When he crosses paths with unfamiliar Rita, an extraña or foreigner, his life is flipped upside down.

Allowed the same free rein in town as she had on the farm, Rita discovers more to life than chasing a ball as her owner and she assimilates into the new community. Rudy adds to the change showing her a world she had never imagined could exist.

When a sudden, violent storm causes a chaotic evacuation, Rita and Rudy are left behind, forced to confront a danger unlike any they have ever known.

Shoot me a message with either Adam and Eve!
